Student Algebraic Geometry Seminars


Spring 2017

  • The Positivity Seminar: A reading seminar for graduate students on Lazarsfeld two books “Positivity in Algebraic Geometry,” organized by Aaron Bertram. It meets 1.5 hours a week.

  • Algebraic Geometry Student Seminar: A graduate student run seminar on various topics, led by Stefano Filipazzi. It meets 1 hour per week.

  • The Birational Geometry Seminar: A reading seminar for graduate students run by Christopher Hacon on recent work of Kollar on moduli spaces of SLC surfaces. It meets 1 hour per week with Hacon, plus 1 hour per week among students.

  • BAB Conjecture: A reading seminar for graduate students run by Christopher Hacon on recent work of Birkar. It meets 1 hour per week.

  • Weil conjectures, etc: A topical seminar for graduate students run by Stefan Patrikis. It meets 2 hours per week.
