Information for undergraduate mathematical biologists
Overview
Undergraduates can discover the exciting world of mathematical biology in traditional classroom settings, small group research projects, and individual research projects with faculty and post-docs.
Courses
Interested undergraduates should consider enrolling in
- MATH 1170-80 - Calculus for Biologists
- MATH 4800 - The Mathematics of Disease
- MATH 5110: Introduction to Mathematical Biology I
Funding and research opportunities
Every year we support small interdisciplinary (mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics and bioengineering majors) undergraduate research teams to be involved in collaborative research led by our graduate students and/or postdocs. The description of this year's project as well as previous projects can be found here.
Students have also worked on individual projects directly with our faculty.
