Filtering the Application List

Suppose that you want to filter the list of applications so that you only see those in Applied Math, or only those in Algebraic Geometry. Instructions for that are here.

  • First make sure you are in the application list. Then click on the little yellow icon on the far right

  • The list of fields to filter by is gigantic, and I recommend not going through it. Below are instructions for filtering by a few different fields:
    • Pure or Applied Math: In the Search box type in Math Research Area. It should look like the below, select the box that appears under Direct Filters. Then it should look like this:
      Slate math research area filter
      Slate math research area filter
After clicking Continue at the bottom the following menu appears
Slate applied and pure math filter select
Slate applied and pure math filter select
Hit Save and then Update. The filter will be applied.
    • Research Interest: Get to the same filtering options menu as above, and in the Search box search for Math Research Interest 1. It brings up this menu

If you use a Ctrl-Click you can select multiple areas. After you click Save and then Update the filter is applied.
    • Degree: Get to the same filtering options menu as above, and in the Search box search for GR App Academic Plan. It brings up a menu with a list of all academic graduate programs at the U. Pick the ones that you wish to filter by.
    • Faculty Interest: Unfortunately it is not possible to filter on this field. We will work on getting this updated for next year.
