**Announcements:**
- (9/24) The second midterm exam is set on Wednesday, 4 Oct, during the usual class time.
- (9/8) The first midterm exam is set on Wednesday, 13 Sep, during the usual class time.
- (9/1) The direct product of vector spaces U and W, of dimensions r and s respectively, should have dimension r+s. A basis should look like {(u_i, O), (O, w_j) } with i between 1 and r and j between 1 and s. (Please email me if there is any question.)
- (8/30) The scanned pdf of Gaussian elimination.
- (8/3) This is an
*honors, PhD-track* class and requires
permission code, which can be requested easily at
mathematics department homepage.
