The Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah has several research
positions available for undergraduates for Summer 2002. These positions are
supported by a VIGRE grant from the United States
National Science Foundation,
and by the University of Utah. United States
citizens, nationals, or permanent residents who are presently undergraduate
mathematics majors are eligible to apply. The program will be conducted by
Davar Khoshnevisan,
and will be devoted to "random walks and simulation."
Opportunities for individual REU projects are also available.
