Programs for High School Students

  • U of U Math Circle Each fall, high school students meet weekly with professors and graduate students to extend their mathematical understanding and problem solving skills. Applications will be available here.

  • Summer Program An intensive three-week program for outstanding high school students. Participants earn three university credits.

  • Utah State Math Contest A yearly math contest for high school students. The U of U was host for the contests for 2006-2008.

  • Visiting Lectures Lively and interesting talks on mathematics and on its role in science, technology, and society. To arrange for a talk at your school, please contact Angie Gardiner at 581-6837 (gardiner@math.utah.edu).
