Graduation Requirements

This page lists graduation requirements for mathematics majors and minors at the University of Utah, based on the semester system commencing in the Fall of 1998. For more information contact Professor Les Glaser, Undergraduate Advisor, JWB 239, 581-6837. Note that required for each major is satisfactory performance on the advanced mathematics part of the GRADUATE RECORD EXAMINATION, which is used as the department's comprehensive examination. This exam should be taken before the last quarter prior to graduation. For a major or a minor, a grade of C or better is required in all Mathematics courses.

Information is available on the following variations of the Bachelor's degree:

Note: Instead of Math 1210, 1220, and 2210 one may also take either
Math 2210 is not required for students who complete 1260.
