Intermountain
Math Competition
Intermountain Math Competition started in 2009 and takes place every
Fall (with the exception of 2020 because of the pandemic). It is an
easier version of the Putnam Competition, and involves several
regional universities, including the U.
The best way to prepare for it is to study problems from previous
events. You may also want to take Math 5000, which is really a
Putnam preparation seminar. Below are the previous years' problems.
The next Intermountain Math Competition will take place in the Fall
2025.
