January 7: There will be a non-credit quiz from prerequisites on Thursday January 10. It will be like a quiz of math 1010 (elementary algebra, linear equations, exponents, radicals, applications throughout these topics). I do this because it helps me to know about your math knowledge and so instruct the class better. And it also helps you to know if you need to make some review of prereuisite for this course.

January 15: We will have our first quiz On Thursday Jan. 17 (at the end of class). It would be 3-4 questions from 1.1 and 1.2.

January 23: Those of you who are not using the ebook, please write down the questions as well as the answers in your homework. Otherewide, the grader will not understand which question you solved and so you will miss the points.

February 1: Next week on Thursday (February 7) we are going to have our first midterm. It will be in the classroom (LCB 219) at 6:00pm. I give you 8 questions from chapter 1, 2.1, and 2.2.

February 7: Please staple your homework papers! (Otherwise you might miss some points)

February 8: Last night we had our first midterm. You can see the test with its solution online. There will be a quiz from 2.2 and 2.3 at the next week (February 14) plus some short homework.

February 28: Friday March 1 is the deadline for withdrawing!

March 8: After the Spring Break we are going to have the second midterm on Thursday, March 21 (from sections 2.3-2.5, 3.1-3.7).
