Tenth International Conference on Hyperbolic Problems Theory, Numerics, Applications(2004)

A sushi dinner in Osaka with a group of good friends and colleagues, Blake Temple, Steve Bryson, Michael Scott, Zeke Vogler, myself, and Bojan Popov.

Fox Prize meeting 2003

This meeting involved six presenters, a three person adjucating committee, and of course an audience. From left to right Endre Süli(Adjucator), Arieh Iserles(Adjucator), Adam Oberman, Jared Tanner, Boris Vexler, Melvin Leok, Tatjana Stykel, and Marc Schweitzer. Hopefully, despite the sun in our eyes, you can see we are all having a good time. It would be hard to convey how much fun I had hanging out with the other participants. This picture was taken overlooking the award winning Centre for Mathematical Sciences at Cambridge University.

One afternoon some of the participants went to tour the historic town Salzburg where Mozart was born(the yellow house in the background). Nenad Teofanov and I saluting. And to the right Bernhard Bodmann giving a talk.

Ninth International Conference on Hyperbolic Problems Theory, Numerics, Applications(2002)

The group photo including the experts in the front center(from left to right) Bjorn Engquist, Tom Hou, Peter Lax, and Eitan Tadmor (my adviser). For orientation Tom Hou is wearing the maroon sweater.
