Spring, 2005

Math 1030-09, Intro. to Quantitative Reasoning

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

All grades have been recorded (see GRADE link above) and posted. As one final exercise, you can double check your grade here is how:

Final grade= 20*(grp proj/30)+30*(final/95)+15*(exam1/90)+15*(exam2/77)+20*(quiz/30)

Just insert your raw scores: for example, grp proj=27 if you got 27 on your group project. The "quiz" is the tricky one: take your 3 best quiz scores (this includes Take home #2) added to Take home#1 and Quiz A. For example: if your 3 best scores were 10, 8, 5 and Takehome#1 was 1, and Quiz A was 6, then quiz=10+8+5+1+6=30. It is possible to score more than 100% on the final (if you got above 95), on Exam 2 (if you got above 77), and on quizzes (if quiz as described above is more than 30). In all of these cases, you only get the maximum % toward your total grade. For example, if you scored 79 on exam 2, you earned 15% toward your total grade. If you scored 97 on the final, you earned 30% toward your final grade. In other words, extra credit is assignment specific and does not "roll over" into final grades.
