Superior!!

June 23rd, hot as hell in the city...not the most common setting for a ski day. But hey, keep in mind that everything in Utah is always the opposite to what reason or logic suggest. And so it is that on June 23rd Justin and I set out with skiis on our back ( and plenty of other stuff as well) and a great desire to find some snow! And, by Golly, did we make it! Here'a a not at all serious account of a great day!

Here are Justin and Buttercup, two of the three main characters of the day, both showing their behind. Let me spend one word of praise for my heroic 1984 Subi which keeps serving me well and never refuses to take me up the mountains to play!

Here we go, happy and relaxed and ready to go! Pictures to make mom happy, with a big smile on our face. (Even though I'm not sure Justin's mom will appreciate the "Unabomber" look that he's displaying).
And that's where we're going! Right there on the very top.

So we start going up, and after a fair amount of huffing and puffing and hauling the big packs that's how I look. Behind me you can start and see the snow that we eventually conquered.

I'm taking a breather and playing my skiis for imaginary fans.

And finally, we are at the top of the World...

The view is awesome...

...there's lots of pretty flowers...

So, first thing you do when you conquer the top, is, of course, take a self timer picture to document that we actually both made it...
...find a rock...place camera...push settings buttons...DAMN IT!!!!!! why do you always do that to me, dumb camera (or dumb owner....)?

Let's try that again... here we go. Happy people.

...HANDS...
The hands that fed us. The hand that holds the grapefruit. (to be or not to be?) The hand that killed the chocolate bar.

...FEET...

...SOME WELL DESERVED REST...

OK, OK, you're getting bored...time for some action? Here we go!

Off I go.

Justin's tele turns.

Hey, how wild is this getting?

I'm outa here, just calmly swooshing away.

SO I DON'T KNOW IF I CONVEYED IT WELL ENOUGH, BUT WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!
