Send me an e-mail and introduce yourself.  This part of the homework is pretty informal, so I won't tell you specifically what to include in your message.  My reasons for making this part of the first homework are twofold.  First, and most obviously, this will help me get to know the class better faster.  Second, after I receive your message, I'll have an e-mail address for you that I can use to send announcements to the class.  So, there's no reason to write the next Great American Novel, but I do need you to write SOMETHING.
