The course description:
We will try to cover the following topics: Analytic functions, complex integration, Cauchy integral theorem,
Taylor and Laurent series, residues and contour integrals, conformal mappings with applications to electrostatics, heat, and fluid flow.

Texts: lecture notes
Complex Variables and Applications, eighth edition, by J.W. Brown and R.V. Churchill. The current ISBN is 9780073051949.
The course covers chapters 1-10

There will be a weekly quiz which you take online.

Exams, Grading Policy:
There will be two midterms in class each worth 20% of the total grade.There will be one final worth 40% of the total grade.
Homeworks and online quizzes each account for 10%20%. The dates for the midterms and the final are

Make up exams will NOT be given unless there is sufficient reason. If an emergency arises, I will require sufficient proof.
If there is any other reason for which you might not be able to make it to the exam, please talk to me at least 2 weeks in advance.

The following grades are guaranteed: 90+ for A, 75+ for B, 65+ for C, 55+ for D. The cutoffs might decrease by the end of the semester but they will not increase.
