Title: Some Mathematical Models in Wound Healing. Abstract: Recent advances in biotechnology have led to a rapid increase in experimental and observational data on wound healing. However, an understanding of how key biochemical and mechanical processes interact during the healing process is still not well understood. In this talk, I will consider a number of ways modelling can be used to focus on various aspects of wound healing. In particular, I will consider problems in corneal epithelial wound healing, full thickness dermal wounding, and healing disorders such as scarring or fibroproliferative diseases.
