My Random Things

  1. I love rollercoasters. My favorite amusement park is Six Flags Magic Mountain because they have the best collections of rollercoasters that I have found. My favorite is called the Tatsu and it is awesome.
  2. I hope to one day be certified to skydive solo. (Tandem is fun, but it would be so much more fun to be able to go by myself.)
  3. I love puppies and dogs. (My husband thinks I'm obsessed.)
  4. I always remember my dreams. They are usually very strange. I usually can remember 2 or 3 after every night.
  5. An African-American in Chicago once told me I looked like white chocolate. He wondered if I tasted like it too. (Creepy.) He said, "Girl, you get with me and you'd be like, 'Why am I so white and you're so dark?' And I'd be like, 'Cause, baby, you're white chocolate.'" He also asked if he could come with me after the El got to my stop. I told him no.
  6. I have pieces of an autobiography written and bunch of notes. I plan on writing it sometime.
  7. The same day my soccer coach told me he was going to start calling me Morris the Cat, a friend of mine had told me that if I were a superhero, I should be Catwoman.
  8. I can't sing. I wish I could, but I can't.
  9. Grammatical errors are a pet peeve of mine. I especially hate it when people mix up your and you're.
  10. I used to watch Lois and Clark with my sister every Sunday and eat rice with butter and salt on it.
  11. I love ice cream. And frozen yogurt. And real Italian gelato.
  12. Once, when I was about three, my mom told me to go cleam my room and not to have a cow and I responded, "I don't have to, you already are one!"
  13. My brother and I were amazed by the awesome-ness of Eagle Eye sunglasses when we watched an entire infomercial about them. We convinced my mom that we just had to have them. Since it was a one time only deal, we ended up getting four pairs. We realized that they were kind of ugly and way to big for our faces when they came so we gave all four pairs to my dad. He probably still has them.
  14. I can and will sleep up to eleven hours a night if I don't have to get up for some reason. I can push snooze on an alarm clock until it gives up and be completely asleep in between snoozes.
  15. I used to love organizing my big container of over one hundred crayons in rainbow order. My friend claims that on a Lake Powell trip once, I would dump them out and reorganize them in different ways like color order, alphabetical order, etc. But I don't remember doing that.
  16. I like to save random things like wire, velcro, magnet strips, foam pads, etc because I always think that I'll find a use for them at some point. And usually I do.
  17. Because my dad once accidentally told us that ' meant inch and " meant feet, my brother and I thought that there was a Lego car you could buy from the catalog that you could actually ride in (it was like 5" long). I even called the catalog customer service to ask if the car could actually be driven or if you had to push it yourself. The lady was kind of confused by my question.
  18. I once made a car out of a cardboard box. It had windshield wipers and a working seatbelt in it.
  19. Until I got LASIK, my right eye was twice as blind as my left. I could never see out of my right eye very well but my left had always been perfect. When I got my driver's license, I was confused when I had read the line in the vision checker and the lady told me to read the whole line. I reread what I could see and then she switched something and all the letters went away. I told her that she turned off the letters. She asked if I was blind in my right eye. When I got a contact for my right eye, my left didn't have to work as hard and went steadily downhill.
  20. I often notice how people's feet move when they walk, like if they walk pidgeon-toed, or if their feet don't hit the ground evenly. I notice if their shoes are wearing down unevenly because of it. If I notice other people, I usually become aware of how I'm walking and I make a point of trying to walk more straight and regularly. I think I walk pretty normal even when I'm not thinking about it. My shoes seem to wear fairly evenly.
  21. I absolutely hate the Daybreak (a 'west bench community' in Utah) commercials. They are super cheesy and don't have anything to do with houses (at least I don't think they do). I have vowed never to live there. I don't even really want to visit there. "Move your feet; move your bod." That's how one of their commercials starts. They really say the word 'bod' in the commercial. And it bugs me.
  22. I went by my middle name, Jayne, in the third grade. It was because my mom said there were so many Megans my age. I forgot to tell my teacher I went by Jayne when I got to the fourth grade so it was back to Megan. Megan is a common name. There were 5 Megans on the Skyline soccer team when I was a freshman.
  23. I can make my stomach growl on command.
  24. I have Celiac disease.
