Spring 2013
I am currently supervising the math biology REU.
This is a continuation of the REU from last semester, and the participants are working to develop mathematical models of molecular motors. The REU students have had success developing and coding stochastic models of both kinesin and dynein. The goal for the current semester is to combine the two models together into a single tug-of-war model, and explore the effects of temperature variation.
