Department of Mathematics

I'm in my final year of graduate school at the University of Utah studying Mathematical Biology. My thesis research is on mathematically modeling development of the zebrafish lateral line, which is akin to the human auditory system.

I graduated from UC San Diego in 2011 with a BS in Mathematics-Scientific Computation. I grew up in Pasadena and La Cañada, California, where I graduated from La Cañada High School in 2006.

I enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, whitewater rafting, and canyoneering. I like playing golf and watching sports, especially basketball and football.

I've been to more than 20 foreign countries and 5 continents - all but South America and Antarctica. In May 2013, I rafted the Grand Canyon for the fifth time, and I'll be back on the river next summer!
