The winner of the Intermountain award becomes a nominee for the national Deborah and Franklin Tepper Haimo Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics.

The deadline for completed nomination files is announced each winter, and is usually in early to mid February. This way there is time to judge the nomination files and forward the section winner to the national award committee. For more information, contact Ann Marie Harmon.
