This Maple project constitutes the bulk of your homework for the week. In the first part of the project you will review the way in which power laws between related data sets can be deduced by analyzing their logarithms. An example is studied in the worksheet entitled "2270powerlaws.mws", and you should begin your Maple work with this file. After you understand the mathematics in that worksheet, try analyzing the height-weight data which we collected, in order to find if there is a power law relating heights and weights. The data, and the particular steps you are to follow, are in the template "2270proj2a.mws." A completed copy of this should be handed in by Friday.
