Logistics: Math 1210-001 meets M,T,W,F 9:40-10:30 AM. We meet in WEB L112 on M,W,F, an on T we meet in WEB L110.

Most of your lab meetings will be devoted to working together on certain homework problems, in a student-centered format. These lab assignments will be due at the start of class on the following Tuesdays. There will be additional homework assigned on Fridays and due the following Friday, at the beginning of class. Mostly likely this homework will use the on-line homework system WeBWorK. Our class also has an attached SI instructor, Sarah Melancon, who will hold extra study sessions.

My office hours are tentatively set up as follows: T, W 10:50-11:50 AM, Th 12:00-1:00 PM, in my office LCB 204.  I can also schedule appointments outside of office hours. My phone number is 801-581-7318 and my email address is korevaar "at" math.utah.edu.

Course details: This 1210-001 syllabus  contains detailed course information. This course outline  contains our expected progression through the topics of Math 1210. The exam dates are fixed, although the topics timeline may be adjusted as needed. expected schedule etc.

If you're having trouble in this class it could be that you need to rethink how you try to learn mathematics, and that link might help. Please contact me as well, and we'll see if there are some different or additional strategies you might employ.

The Kahn Academy and patrickJMT are also good on-line resources for many of the topics in our course. (Coming to and participating in the scheduled lecture classes and labs are also extremely important for most people who wish to learn the course material.)
