Grading : Three Exams (40% total); Final Exam (20%); Labs (20%); Problem Sets (20%)
Exams : Four exams are given, and the lowest grade will be dropped. Their dates are 2/1; 2/29; 3/28; and 4/18. Since an exam is dropped, no make-up exams are given, save for extraordinary circumstances. You must provide verifiable and convincing evidence of that which prevents you from attending. Also, advanced warning of such an absence should be given if possible. Recitation sessions are given a night or two prior to the exam for questions and discussion about exam material.
Problem Sets : A few problems are assigned from each sections. To sufficiently understand the material, I recommend you complete additional problems. Assignments should be turned in during class whenever possible, but as long as they are in my office by 4pm, they are considered on time. Any assignment more than one week late will not be accepted. Assignments are given below.
