Group (Therapy) Meetings and Journal Clubs

All students are encouraged to participate in at least one of several journal clubs and group meetings. First year students who have not yet picked an area of specialization should participate in Journal Club I. Papers that are read in this group are classic papers in Mathematical Biology and are chosen to coordinate with Math 5110 (Introduction to Mathematical Biology). Second year students (and all others who have not yet chosen an advisor) should attend Journal Club II. Papers that are read in this group are "classics" by our very own faculty! More advanced students should participate in one or more of the group meetings. At present there are four group meetings. These are

  • SLAM (Seger-Adler Lab Meeting) Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
  • Fluids group meeting
  • Neuroscience group meeting
  • Physiology group meeting
