The following .pdf file is a sketch of what I once thought a maximal
disk of a projective
structure with Schottky holonomy might look like. Several
assumptions I held at the time of the sketching turned out not to
hold. Such is life in mathematics. But the sketch remains
nonetheless, a testament to the unexpected visual aesthetics of
mathematics and as a reminder to me to make sure I know what I'm doing
before I make bold claims. |
