- Topics: We will cover most of Chapters 9 (derivatives), 10 (applications of derivatives), 11 (derivatives continued), 12 (indefinite integrals), 13 (definite integrals, techniques of integration) and 14 (functions of two or more variables).
- Tests and Exams:
- There will be four 50 minute tests, that will be cumulative, but mostly focused on the material covered since the last test. Since the lowest of the four test scores will be dropped, there will be no makeups for these tests.
- Final (Cumulative) Exam: Monday, May 6, 8 to 10 AM, in AEB 350.
- Homework: Exercises will be assigned on a weekly basis. The three lowest scores will be dropped. Homework will not be accepted after the due date.
- Grades: the final (number) grade will be computed as follows:
from your homework grade, 
from your final exam
grade, and for each of the best three test grades (that is,
we drop the lowest test score).
- Calculators: the use of calculators in class and during exams is allowed. Other electronic devices (laptop computers, etc) are not allowed during exams and quizzes. Notice that it may be requested that certain exercises be solved without the use of calculators.
- ADA Statement: The Americans with Disabilities Act requires that reasonable accommodations be provided for students with physical, cognitive, systemic, learning and psychiatric disabilities. Please contact the instructor at the beginning of the semester to discuss any such accommodations you may require for this course.
- Withdrawal: the last day to withdraw from the course is Friday, March 15.
