Weekly Homework:

You are responsible for knowing these policies. Please take it seriously because no exception will be made.

Other Policies: regarding exams and classroom environment.

  1. There will be no retakes of exams…ever. Your score is what you get.

  2. You can only take an alternate exam if you talk to me about it first and explain the extenuating circumstances that make it necessary. Needing to work, babysitting your siblings, oversleeping, or needing more time to study DO NOT pass as acceptable reasons.  It is your total responsibility to communicate with me as soon as possible, before the exam occurs. Talking to me after the exam will be sufficient reason for me to allow you to get a zero on that exam. I reserve the right to make alternate exams more difficult than the scheduled exam.

  3. I strongly encourage asking and answering questions about the material covered in class. Please, be respectful of your classmates' questions and answers.

  4. Cell Phones & Pagers: Noise pollution during class is a growing problem and is very disruptive and disrespectful to both me and your classmates. Please be sure to turn your devices to silent when in the classroom.

  5. Please check the course webpage regularly. I will post new announcements and messages on the webpage and count on your responsibility to get them.

Students with Disabilities: The University of Utah seeks to provide equal access to its programs, services, and activities for people with disabilities. If you will need accommodations in this class, reasonable prior notice needs to be given to the instructor and to the Center for Disability Services, 162 Olpin Union Building, 581-5020 (V/TDD) to make arrangements for accommodations.
