Hi all and welcome to my site. I have finished my studies at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario am now studying at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you want to learn a little more about me then feel free to read below, otherwise, you can start clicking the buttons to the left. Who are you?
I am very grateful for being invited to study at the University of Utah and for the Professors, friends, and family who have supported me along the way. While at "the U", I will continue studying Applied Math and focus on Mathematical Physiology. There's quite an active Math Bio group here and it attracts many graduate students and professors alike. Professor Keener is my supervisor and my thesis involves Cardiac Arrhythmia's (Stretch-Activated Channels in the Border Zone Arrhythmia's to be more precise). For more information on my current and past research, please check out my research page. The Non-Mathie: When not doing math related stuff, I love to do almost anything else. There's a repressed artsy in me that has been in hiding since I finished high school. As an outlet to this artsy side, I enjoy (digital) photography (see Photowalk Utah and SLC Photo Club) singing (Saltaires Show Chorus), going to the theater/symphony/festivals, dancing (when I have a dancing partner), and arranging barbershop music. I also enjoy reading novels (onto Charles Dickens "Hard Times"), teaching, baking, cooking, languages (French immersion is in the plan now), and reading about Canadian history/law/politics. When I'm not occupying my mind or pencil, I head out on my bike (Trek 2200, '99 model) and spending time with my wife, dog, and our many wonderful friends. Where are you?
