Title: Was the 2008 U.S. Economy productive?

Abstract: 
In this project I will analyze the U.S. economy during 2008. Was 
this economy productive? My prediction is that the U.S. economy was not productive during this time. My prediction stems purely from the fact that our
 GDP had been decreasing and unemployment rates rose to about 7%. To assess
 my prediction I'll be using the Leontief Input-Output model.

The Leontief model uses a consumption matrix to analyze the relationship be
tween input and production. Using the Leontief model and the given consumption matrix I will find the theoretical amount produced (where amount is in 
millions of dollars), and I will compare it to the actual amount produced. 
If the theoretical amount produced is less than the actual produced, the economy was not productive.
