FRONTIER PROBABILITY DAYS http://www.math.utah.edu/~firas/FPD University of Utah March 10-12, 2011 "Frontier Probability Days 2011" (FPD'11) is a regional workshop, taking place in Salt Lake City UT on March 10-12, 2011. Its purpose is to bring together mathematicians, both regionally and globally, who have an interest in probability and its applications. FPD aims to complement other regional conferences in Probability that are held annually elsewhere in the US. Plenary Speakers: * Kenneth S. Alexander (University of Southern California) * Janos Englander (University of Colorado, Boulder) * Christopher Hoffman (University of Washington) * Thomas G. Kurtz (University of Wisconsin, Madison) * Houman Owhadi (California Institute of Technology) * Jose A. Ramirez (Universidad de Costa Rica) * Edward C. Waymire (Oregon State University) Registration is required but is free. Deadline for registration is February 21, 2011. Financial support may be available from a grant from the National Science Foundation. Deadline for financial support applications is December 31, 2010. Graduate students are especially encouraged to apply. The proceedings will kick off Thursday morning with the opening lecture by Tom Kurtz and will end on Saturday afternoon with the closing lecture by Ed Waymire.
