We have just returned from a week at the Monashee Cabin in a year that has not been kind to most of BC. Monashee was suffering a snow drought leaving a snow pack of just over 2 meters! (The usual snow depth at this time would be more like 4 meters). The cabin is cute and cosy with the most fanastic views of the Monashee peaks, the best view I have seen from a cabin. The terrain is varied, providing options for a mixed group: from glorious touring across rolling meadows to steep North facing glades that held onto the powder. The cabin is well equipped for a group of 14, a generator provides power for lights and the VCR (we watched telemark movies!). The cabin is reached by snocat thus ensuring access in all weather.

We had a wonderful time and I am sure that we will return to the cabin in the future, so much tree skiing so little time! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
