Text: Applied Multivariate Statistical Analysis by Johnson and Wichern, 5th edition, $106.93 at amazon.

Prerequisite: Math 6010 or knowledge of regression and analysis of variance.

Topics covered: We will attempt to cover as much of the book as we have time for, mostly Chapters 5--11.

Assignment 1. Chapter 5. 5, 10, 18. Due Feb. 7.

Assignment 2. Chapter 6. 5, 8, 13, 33. Due Feb. 28.

Assignment 3. Chapter 7. 9, 10, 25. Due March 16.

Assignment 4. Chapter 8: 6, 7, 18. Due April 16.

Assignment 5. Chapter 9: 9, 20, 21. Due April 16.

Final take-home exam. Complete the problem handed out in class and choose any 4 of the following 5 problems:

1. 8.11, p. 470.
2. 9.1 and 9.3, p. 533.
3. 10.2, p. 573.
4. 11.17, p. 650.
5. 12.9, p. 739.
