| Contents: |
We will cover chapters 7-12 and 18 of the text, developing ideas and techniques of the differential and integral calculus in broader contexts. The course will begin with a study of transcendental functions and their inverses, then move on to sophisticated techniques of integration, indeterminate forms, infinite series, conic sections, polar coordinates, ending with an introduction to differential equations. |

| Grading: |
Your grade will be determined according to: Homework is 30%, Exams/Quizzes are 30%, Final Exam is 40% |
| Homework: |
Unless otherwise announced, homework will be assigned for each lecture and will be due the following lecture in class. The homework assignments will be posted on the web page on or before the day it is assigned. Each homework will vary from 5-15 questions, with only one question being graded (that question will be chosen at random). Late submissions and submissions outside class will not be accepted. In calculating the final grade, two homework assignments will be dropped. |
| Final: |
The final examination will be comprehensive. It will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 8-10 am. |

| Mathematics Tutoring Center: |
The Mathematics Tutoring Center offers free, drop-in tutoring to students enrolled in Math 1060, among others. The tutoring center will open Wednesday, Aug 27, and the hours are: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am -6:00 pm Friday. The tutoring center is closed on weekends, University holidays, and for finals. |
