Friday, May 2

The overall course scores and grades are now posted on WebCT. The average overall score was 75.9 (out of 100). The grade breakdown was as follows:

• A: 100-92
• A-: 91-87
• B+: 86-82
• B: 81-76
• B-: 75-71
• C+: 70-66
• C: 65-61
• C-: 60-56
• D+: 55-51
• D: 50-46
• D-: 45-41
• E: 40-0

Also, I compared each person's overall score with the score they would have received if they had chosen not to drop any midterms. In all but two cases, the person's choice resulted in the higher overall score. In the two exceptional cases, the difference in scores was only a few percent, and didn't change the overall grade.

The final exams have been graded, and the scores are available through WebCT. The average was 38.35 (out of 51). You can see more stats, as well as the full solutions, over in the Exams page.

The overall scores for the class will be up by the end of the day tomorrow, as well as a grade breakdown for those scores.
