Homework will be assigned weekly, (15% of the final grade). It will be posted on this page! It is your duty to check this page and submit your homework on time. You will have one week to do the homework.
There will also be an essay (5%) as this class counts for writing credits. More information soon.

Textbook

For the second part of the class, we will work with the book of André Weil, Number Theory for Beginners. The book is out of print so I believe it is ok for me to place a copy on this page.
Download the book, it is in djvu format. You will need the appropriate (free) software to read it: go to Lizardtech's webpage.
