Recreation and Entertainment
Below, you can find a list of web sites with further
information you can use to possibly better plan your
stay here.
- Skiing: Skiing is one of
the main attractions of the general Salt Lake area in March.
Many of the local people and businesses claim that the snow is
"The greatest snow on earth".
Much of northern Utah skiing is within a 30 minute drive
from the University. There is also a "Ski Bus" which
goes to these resorts. It may be possible to obtain ski tickets at
a reduced group rate, if enough people have an interest.
If you do, please notify
Davar Khoshnevisan as early as possible.
- Hiking:
Other than its northern (more recreational) mountains,
the state of Utah is blessed with truly amazing nature
much of which is quite accessible from Salt Lake City.

your southern Utah trip (if you have one, before or
after the conference.) If you have the inclination, Bryce
Canyon is a particular local favorite for winter.
