I am an Assistant Professor in the Math Department at the University of Utah.

This semester I am teaching Fluid Dynamics. In Spring 2012, I will be teaching Calculus III, Sections 2 and 4.

This year, I am organizing the Departmental Colloquium. Instructions to invite a speaker can be found here.

My research interest focuses on analytical and computational modeling of problems arising in the dynamics of complex fluids (e.g. biological fluids, polymer suspensions, particle suspensions). I am interested by many applications, for example: stability and nonlinear effects of active swimmers in viscous and viscoelastic fluids (joint work with Michael Shelley at NYU), viscoelastic response of two thermally fluctuating particles (joint work with Greg Forest at UNC and Scott McKinley at UoF), geometrical characterization of melt ponds (joint work with Ken Golden at UoU), modeling of active filaments (joint work with Tamar Shinar at UCRiverside).
