Indicator of material's performance

Dealing with produced microstructural materials (such as metallic polycrystals, rubber, filled concrete, or belgium waffle) one can track down two dependencies:

Dependence of the microstructure on the parameters of the manufacturing process (model 1).
Dependence of effective parameters on structural characteristics (model 2).

Performance (effective properties)

The knowledge of these dependencies allows us to formulate the following control problem:

Choose the parameters of Manifacturing to achieve at desirable Performance.

The notion of the microstructure is a central point of this problem: It allows to collect the information of the material linking together manufacturing and performance.
