I'm a Costa Rican 5th-year grad-student at The University of Utah. I'm pursuing my Ph.D. degree in Mathematics under the guidance of Karl Schwede. I just defended my PhD thesis in April 2018 under the title "Arithmetic Aspects of Strong F-regularity."
Starting in September 2018, I'll be a postdoc at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). More precisely, I'll be a Collaborateur Scientifique at the EPFL's Chair of Algebraic Geometry under the direction of Prof. Zsolt Patakfalvi.
I'm currently interested in positive characteristic algebraic geometry and commutative algebra, with a special interest in their interaction with their characteristic zero counterparts.
I obtained my bachelor's degree at the Universidad de Costa Rica in 2013.
