Course Description: Math 1010 is an introductory course largely intended as a prerequisite for Math 1030 (Quantitative Reasoning) or Math 1050 (College Algebra). During the semester we will cover the following topics: Fundamentals of algebra, linear equations and inequalities, graphs and functions, system of equations, polynomials, rational expressions, radicals and complex number, quadratic equations, exponential and logarithmic functions. The goal of this course is to assist you in understanding these basic concepts with an eye toward developing more general mathematical reasoning ability. Students are expected to read each section in the textbook that is covered in the lectures.
