InterestsMathematicsMathematics has become the primary focus of my life. I am still exploring the field and have yet to choose a specialty. Somewhere in pure mathematics seems likely. ComputersMy background and secondary focus is Computers. My specialty is networking and data communications with secondary interests in operating system, interpretive languages, and computer human interactions. Asian StudiesAsian Studies was what I focused my liberal education on. Although I will probably never pursue a degree or have a related job, Asia is an interesting place that I try to keep up with and continue to learn about. BooksBooks are also terribly fascinating, rarely frustrating, and almost never annoying. Regardless, they provide both entertainment and escape for me. Favorite authors include Melanie Rawn, Guy Gavriel Kay, Jack McDevitt, Anne McCaffrey, David Brin, and others. HikingI spend my summers hiking the Wasatch mountains. Ice SkatingA sometime hobby of mine, I very much enjoy Ice skating. I look forward greater opportunities during the Wisconsin winters.. BilliardsAnother occasional hobby of mine. OrigamiAmazing what a square piece of paper can become. ScienceThe world is a curious place and science provides some answers. I'm interested in just about every branch of science with emphasis on physics. MusicI am an audiophile and enjoy a wide range of music. Favorites include Loreena McKennitt, Enya, Yanni, Celine Dion, Donna Lewis, Belinda Carlisle, Sarah McLachlan, and others. I also classical music (Mendelssohn is a particular favorite) and opera (La Boheme is a favorite). And finally, I also enjoy a large amount of international music. Role PlayingI frequently run a weekly roleplaying group. |
