Here is a list of climbs in Colorado that I have climbed.
Unless otherwise indicated, I have led each of these. The date given was
the first time that I climbed it.
El Dorado Canyon

Calypso, 5.6![]()
19 May 2004, with Ben and Robert. I led the first pitch. That pitch was great. Only the first ten feet of the second pitch are
worth doing. I don't recommend.
The Flatirons

First Flatiron, Direct East Face, 5.6 R![]()

20 May 2004, with Ben. We simul-climbed up to the first tree, and belayed everything else. I think in total it was about nine
pitches. Excellent fun! Except for the first pitch, the climbing was pretty casual. The small gendarmes on the ridge were great!
It was really cool standing on the summit, talking to Ben while he was on the false summit, 75 feet away, but almost at the same
height. We didn't see anyone until we rapped off. A poet up there asked how hard we thought the route was "on a scale of 1 to
10." First I said 2. Then I thought about it, and said that if 10 is the hardest I've done, then it's a 6. That was easy enough.
About fifty switchbacks to get down. 7 hours total, car to car. 1000'
Dream Canyon

Wrinkles in Time 5.9+![]()

24 May 2004, with Ben and Robert. Great route! We only did the first pitch. You can rap the route with one 60m rope.
Gully Washer 5.9
24 May 2004, with Ben and Robert. The start is the physical crux.
