All problems are taken from the homework packet. Here are the point values of the problems as they are graded.

HW #1 (Due Jan 19, 2006)

Solutions.
Class average 92/132 ~ 70%.
Median 99/132 ~ 75%.
High score 122/132 ~ 92%.
An A is 119/136; there are 2 people who earned an A; but a third person was very close.

HW #2 (Due Jan 26, 2006)

Extra Credit. Anyone whose major relates to biology or chemistry should definitely do these extra problems. They were written with you in mind.

Class average 97/136 ~ 72%.
Median 96/136 ~ 71%.
High score 141/136 ~ 104%. (Problem 36 was graded as extra credit.)

Downloads

The University maintains a great page with links to downloadable software, including Adobe Acrobat Reader (to read .pdf files), and free secure telnet and ftp software so you can access Math and University servers from home. Have a look at this page, you might find something you need.
