About the Program

The University of Utah Teachers' Math Circle is an exciting new program devoted to broadening the mathematical horizons of middle and high school math teachers and specialists. Based partly on a model developed at the American Institute of Mathematics, the focus will be on open-ended explorations of mathematical techniques and problems, with a view toward potential applications in the classroom. The topics covered will be carefully selected for their mathematical depth, but also for their accessibility. In particular, no mathematical prerequisites are necessary.

The Teachers' Math Circle meets regularly during the academic year, and is complemented by a week-long summer workshop. Check the schedule page (and summer workshop page) for regular updates.
