       SUBROUTINE  HLPGER (NREC)
 C$    (Help Internal - Get Encoded Record NREC)
 C$    Get  record  NREC  from  the  INFO  file.   If  a   regular
 C$    expression search  is  underway, encode  it  appropriately.
 C$    Otherwise save it as a packed Hollerith string.
