The Servogor 281 plotter, distributed in the USA by Soltec Corporation, 11684 Pendleton Street, Sun Valley, CA, was one of the most impressive pen plotters which I saw at the 1979 SIGGRAPH Conference in Chicago. It has a 28 cm x 36 cm plotting area, 0.1 mm stepsize, downloadable and built-in fonts, circle and arc primitives, and digitizing attachments, and at a price of under $5000 ($6000 with paper feed attachment), seems to be a real bargain.
