 CHARACTER FUNCTION  CHRLCL (ASCORD)
 (Local Character)

 Return the character in  the local character  set which corresponds  to
 the ASCII character having ordinal value "ASCORD".  Only the  low-order
 7 bits  of "ASCORD"  are used  to  determine an  index into  the  local
 character table.
