"Mathematical modeling of schistosomiasis"

We shall describe the dynamics of the human parasitic disease
schistosomiasis that affects approximately 700 million people worldwide
and some of the more modern efforts in modeling it in order to assess
the impact of genetic diversity, chemotherapy, human migration, etc. We
shall present some dynamical system models and some involving partial
differential equations, as well as results from numerical simulations
and comparisons with data gathered from two sites in Brazil.
