Advances in the design and analysis of evolutionary ecology and phenological studies

Abstract: In the face of global change, species are faced with three "choices": adapt to their new local conditions, track the conditions to which they were adapted across the changing landscape, or to go (locally) extinct. I describe new approaches to help improve our understanding and mitigation of these consequences of global change, focusing on new statistical developments (e.g., new metrics and modeling techniques), and the application of theoretical insights in applied contexts (e.g., my work the global EDGE of Existence program).
