Mathematical Biology seminar

Alan Perelson
Los Alamos National Laboratories
Modeling Viral Infections
December 6, 2006
3:05pm in LCB 215

I will review mathematical models of viral infections of humans, including HIV, HCV, and influenza. I will show how these models have provided insights into the basic biology of these viruses and influenced treatment strategies. For example, in the case of HIV these models helped usher in the age of triple combination therapy.
