Ground Penetrating Radar Modeling and an Inverse Problem for the Maxwell-Hopkinson System by Johannes Gottlieb, University of Karlsruhe JWB 208, 3:30pm Thursday, June 11th, 1998 Abstract We consider an inverse boundary value problem arising from Ground Penetrating Radar. We discuss uniqueness of the simultaneous determination of spatially dependent electric conductivity, permittivity and dispersion intensity for a one-dimensional inverse problem. For its solution, we take advantage of special properties of the fundamental solution. Numerical simulations are given for a layered medium with Debye dispersion.
